Filmed at Salmon River in Samuel P Taylor Park, Sacred Water is dedicated to and was inspired by Native American Karuk medicine man Charles Thom Sr, who led multicultural purification sweat lodges in this Marin County, California location for 17 years. Typically held in the fall and attended by 80-100 people, Charlie’s legendary weekend ceremonies attracted participants from a diversity of cultures, spiritual practices and walks of life.
