THE RAINBOW HOOP  Mending the Sacred Hoop of Nations

The Rainbow Hoop...

a coming together of all peoples  from all Nations, the four directions, all the great religions.

When people begin to recognize each other as spiritual beings, beyond all obvious differences,

and come together to listen to and honor each other and our Earth...

Then there will be a great healing.

ABOUT THE FILM

A direct-to-DVD educational documentary film about the repairing of the sacred Hoop of Nations, THE RAINBOW HOOP features traditional elders, teachers, dancers, drummers and singers from a diversity of indigenous cultures who tell stories, sing, drum, dance and speak of a prophesy they all hold in common:

The time we are now in will join people from all over the world, to overcome divisions between people

and open up new avenues of peaceful communications.

According to many traditional people, including the culture bearers featured in this film, it has been prophesied that the time we are now in is when people will begin to see the spirit behind external appearances and recognize each other as relatives. We will share cultural perspectives and learn peaceful solutions to the global enigma of war, racism, poverty and disease. As this continues, a much-needed healing of the “Rainbow Hoop” - the sacred Circle of Nations - will occur, a necessary step toward achieving sustainable peace.

And I saw the sacred hoop of my people was one of the many hoops that made one circle wide as daylight and as starlight.

And in the center grew one mighty flowering tree to shelter all the children of one mother and one father.

And I saw that it was holy.

But anywhere is the Center of the World.”

Black Elk, Holy Man of the Oglala Sioux

“I was standing on the highest mountain of them all and round about beneath me was the whole hoop of the world.

And while I stood there I saw more than I can tell and I understood more than I saw.

For I was seeing in a sacred manner the shapes of all things in the spirit and the shape of all shapes as they must live together like one being.
